Inatasan ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año si Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Oscar Albayalde na sibakin ang tatlong mataas na police officer sa General Santos City dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa P2B investment scam.
Sa isang press briefing nitong Martes, Marso 26, kinilala ni DILG spokesman Jonathan Malaya ang mga opisyal na sina Police Colonel Manuel M. Lukban, Jr., Police Colonel Raul S. Supiter at Police Colonel Henry P. Biñas.
“Secretary Año said this is necessary to prevent them from possible interfering and influencing the contact of a formal investigation on the police paluwagan movement (PPM) investment scam allegedly run by the three officers and some of the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the General Santos City police,” saad ni Malaya.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, hindi lang mga pulis ang naengganyo sa paluwagan kundi ang mga prosecutor, judge, mga negosyante at ordinaryong mamamayan sa Region 12 dahil na rin sa nakapaglalaway na tubo na inalok ng grupo.
Ayon sa DILG, pumapalo sa 60 percent interest kada kinsenas ang inaalok ng PPM sa mga investor.
Bukod sa tatlong police colonel, tinatayang 30 police personnel at sibilyan din ang sangkot sa scam, ayon kay Malaya.
Ipinag-utos na aniya ni Secretary Año sa PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group ang malalimang imbestigasyon sa scam.
