Animax Asia revealed on Monday that it will begin airing the Yo-kai Watch anime on April 24 at 6:00 p.m. GMT +8, and it will air every weekday on the same time slot.
Singaporean content distribution company Bombanbridge Media announced last October that Animax Asia had licensed the "latest seasons" of the Yo-kai Watch television anime, which includes the includes Yo-kai Watch: Shadowside season.
The first series premiered in 2014. MediaLink Entertainment Limited distributed the license for the original Yo-kai Watch television anime in Southeast Asia, where it aired on Toonami, Cartoon Network, and other local channels in various Southeast Asian territories.
The Yo-kai Watch anime changed its name to Yo-kai Watch: Shadowside in April 2018 and switched the focus to Keita's children Keisuke and Natsume. The series was preceded by the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: Oni-ō no Fukkatsu film, which debuted in December 2017 and inspired a manga adaptation in Coro Coro Comics. Natsume was the main protagonist of the film.
A new anime series will debut in Japan on April 5.
