Atlus Reveals Persona 5 The Royal Project With PS4 Listing

Atlus revealed a new project in the Persona 5 franchise on Saturday titled Persona 5 The Royal. The below video features the PlayStation logo, and the official website for the project lists the PlayStation 4. Atlus will reveal more information for the project at an event on April 24.


Atlus also revealed on Saturday that the 12th home video release of the original game's anime adaptation will include an unaired episode titled "A Magical Valentine's Day."

The 26-episode television anime series based on Atlus' Persona 5 role-playing game premiered on April 7 and aired through September. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired.

A special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun, aired on December 30. Crunchyroll is streaming the first special. The show's second special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours, aired on Saturday. The anime's 11th home video release, which will ship on May 29 in Japan, will include both PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun and an unaired episode.

Persona 5 shipped for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on September 15, 2016. The game shipped in North America on April 4, 2017 after a delay. The game featured animation sequences from the Production I.G studio.
