Bagyong Butchoy patungo na sa West Philippine Sea

MAYNILA — Nakarating na ang Bagyong Butchoy sa Zambales at patungo na sa West Philippine Sea ngayong Biyernes ng umaga, ayon sa PAGASA.

Huling namataan ang sentro ng bagyo malapit sa San Felipe, Zambales batay sa 4 a.m. severe weather bulletin ng PAGASA.

Kumikilos pa-kanluran hilagang-kanluran ang bagyo sa bilis na 15 kilometers per hour.

May taglay itong hanging may lakas na 45 kph at pagbugsong 75 kph.

Inaasahan ang moderate to heavy with at times intense rains sa Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, northern portion ng Palawan kasama na ang Calamian at Cuyo Islands, at Occidental Mindoro.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains naman ang inaasahan sa CALABARZON, Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, at ang natitira pang lugar sa Luzon.

"Flooding and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards. The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices are advised to take appropriate measures and monitor the Rainfall or Thunderstorm Advisories or Heavy Rainfall Warnings of PAGASA Regional Services Divisions," ayon sa PAGASA.

Tinanggal na rin ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) #1 sa Metro Manila.

Ang mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng TCWS #1 ay ang mga sumusunod:

• Pangasinan
• Zambales
• Bataan
• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Nueva Ecija
• Bulacan

"Areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1, Visayas, Southern Luzon and the western portion of Mindanao may experience occasional gusts associated with the tropical depression and the Southwest Monsoon," ayon sa PAGASA.

Nitong Huwebes, nag-landfall ang bagyo sa Polillo, Quezon at Infanta, Quezon.

Sa forecast position ng PAGASA, nasa labas na ng Philippine Area of Responsibility ang bagyo sa loob ng 24 oras o Sabado ng umaga o 360 km kanluran ng Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
