Kadokawa revealed in a live-action video on Saturday that the previously teased new project for Gamu's Africa no Salaryman (Businessmen in Africa) manga is a television anime adaptation. The anime is listed as "Project #1" for the manga.
Kadokawa had teased the project with the visual below featuring voice actors Akio Ohtsuka, Kenjiro Tsuda, and Hiro Shimono who appear at center, right, and left.
Gamu's comedy manga follows a lion, lizard, and toucan as they live the lives of office workers in a capitalist society in Japan, while also dealing with their unique situations as animals living beyond the savanna and the food chain.
Gamu launched the manga on the Gene pixiv manga website in December 2014.
The manga inspired an anime that debuted in Production I.G's "Tate Anime" (Vertical Anime) smartphone app (now "Anime Beans") in June 2017. The 2017 anime featured a different voice cast from the new project.
