Cold Chain Expo, the newest trade fair in Metro Manila, is poised to bring in the biggest brands of the industry in the floors of SMX Convention Center on July 24 to 26, 2019.
In a tropical country such as the Philippines, the Cold Chain industry plays a major role in the logistics and transportation of Food, Pharmaceutical and Chemical products from island to island. It is vital to have an uninterrupted series of refrigerated production, storage and distribution activities, along with associated equipment and logistics, which maintain the desired low-temperature range. This industry ensures that products do not go to waste from manufacturing to transportation to consumption. It also expands the life span of temperature sensitive products.
This year, the Cold Chain Expo is expected to welcome local and international players in the Cold Chain Industry including but not limited to Reefer Containers, Refrigerated Trucks, Insulations, RFID Technology, Solar Panels, Cold Storage & Warehousing, Solar & Alternative Energy Sources, Packaging, and the likes.
The success of the 1st edition of Cold Chain Expo held last year prompted the organizers to push the event further expecting 8,000 local and international trade visitors and hundreds of delegates from the Cold Chain Academy.
“In line with the strong rise in demand for transport and storage of refrigerated items in the Philippines, AMB Tarsus is pleased to announce that ColdChain Philippines 2019 will be bigger in exhibition space compared to the previous event. At the same time, the co-located Coldchain Academy will feature presentations on optimal cold chain processes for the Food Service and Pharmaceuticals industries, as well as Sustainable and Energy Efficient Solutions for Warehouses, among other key topics,” says Darren Siow, Director of AMB Tarsus, the organizer behind Cold Chain Expo.
The Cold Chain Expo will also host the 2nd Cold Chain Academy which will provide resource speakers on topics about Pharmaceutical Transport & Logistics, Cold Chain Warehouse Architecture, Materials Handling, and Efficient Energy Consumption which will be beneficial for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries.
This year the expo has forged a partnership with the industry stakeholders like Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP), Philippine Multimodal Transportation Incorporated (PMTLAI), and Philippine Association of Meat Processors Inc. (PAMPI) which strongly supports the ColdChain Philippines 2019 Expo and the Cold Chain Academy.
