Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream the Peacemaker Kurogane: Belief and Peacemaker Kurogane: Friend anime films beginning on March 27. Crunchyroll describes Peacemaker Kurogane: Belief:
Though the Shinsengumi took a huge blow following the Incident at Aburano Koji, they prepare themselves to carry out their devotion to the Shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu. Meanwhile, the Imperial Court proclaims the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, and Yoshinobu withdraws to Osaka. The Shinsengumi prepares for battle as well, relocating their station to the Fushimi magistrate's office.
The first film, Peacemaker Kurogane: Belief (Peacemaker Kurogane: Omō-michi), premiered in Japan on June 2. The second film, Peacemaker Kurogane: Friend (Peacemaker Kurogane: Yūmei), opened in Japan on November 17.
Shigeru Kimiya (Hand Maid Mai OAV director, One Off chief director, Ryūsei Sentai Musumet series director) directed the films (Hiroshi Takeuchi was originally listed as directing the films). WHITE FOX animated the film series. Eiji Umehara wrote the scripts, and Sayaka Koiso designed the characters and served as chief animation director.
