DFA: Mga barko sa China sa Pag-asa Island, iligal!

Gitawag nga “illegal” sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang presensiya sa mga Chinese vessel sa Pag-asa Island sa West Philippine Sea.

Sa gipagawas nga pamahayag sa DFA, giingon niini nga bahin ang Pag-asa Island ng Kalayaan Island Group nga mahinungdanong bahin sa Pilipinas, nga siya ang adunay soberanya, sovereign rights ug hurisdiksiyon sa isla.

“Accordingly, the presence of Chinese vessels near and around Pag-asa and other maritime features in the KIG is illegal. Such actions are a ‘clear violation of Philippine sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction’ as defined under international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS),” matud sa DFA.

Dugang pa sa DFA, ang presensiya sa daghang Chinese vessels nga gitawag nga “swarming” tactics, bisan pa “military, fishing o other vessels” angayang mapaubos sa appropriate action sa kagamhanan. (jess campos)
