Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on Thursday that it is releasing its God Eater 3 game on the Nintendo Switch on July 12. The company began streaming an announcement trailer that shows the Switch version's portable multiplayer gameplay.
The exclusive pre-order bonuses for the Switch release are Yuri and Estelle's costumes from Bandai Namco Entertainment's Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition game.
God Eater 3 launched with both English and Japanese audio in North America and Europe on February 8 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
The game debuted in Japan on December 13 for PS4. The game features the new character Yūgo Pennywort (Hugo Pennywort; voiced by Tomokazu Seki). Anime studio ufotable returned to animate the opening sequence.
Bandai Namco Entertainment describes God Eater 3:
Earth no longer resembles the home we know of now. The Aragami, terrifying beasts that live only to consume, are carving a path of destruction and misery wherever they are encountered. To combat this threat an elite group of heroes known as God Eaters are called upon to save humanity. God Eaters are individuals who have been bestowed upon them the ability to wield powerful new God Arcs, special weapons powered by Oracle Cells and the only known weapons capable of destroying the monstrous Aragami. However, another mission is coming into focus; something is happening to the God Eaters and the line between light and dark has never been so thin. It's time to start breaking free from the cursed shackles that bind the souls of the God Eaters as the battle rages on around them.
The God Eater game franchise inspired a 13-episode television anime series in 2015. Aniplex of America released the anime with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc.
