The official website for the Granbelm original anime series began streaming the show's promotional video on Saturday. The site also revealed a new visual, more cast, and July premiere in the "Animeism" programming block on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS.

Masaharu Watanabe (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow, Wakaba Girl) is directing the series at Nexus (Wakaba Girl, Chivalry of a Failed Knight). Jukki Hanada (Sound! Euphonium, Love Live! School idol project, Love Live! Sunshine!!) is overseeing the series scripts and Shinichirou Otsuka (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- light novel illustrator) is designing the original characters. Infinite is producing the anime. Uru will perform the anime's ending theme song.
The anime takes place in a world that long ago featured the existence of magic, but has long since lost that ability. The story begins when the very normal high school student Mangetsu Kohinata meets Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami, who has migrated back to Japan from Germany, on a night with a full moon.
