Koko Pimentel’s wife Kathryna pregnant with first baby

MANILA – Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III said Thursday that he and his wife Kathryna was expecting their first child.

Pimentel made the announcement in his wedding anniversary message for his wife.

"As we celebrate 1 year of wedded bliss, let me thank you for being part of my life," the senator said in a statement.

"I have seen how great & wonderful you are, as a person, a wife, a mother to our 2 boys and as a soon-to-be mother again to our 3rd child!" he said.

Mrs. Yu-Pimentel also shared an ultrasound photo of their baby on her Instagram account.

"On our first wedding anniversary we are beyond blessed and very happy to share that we are expecting our little bundle of joy," she wrote on the photo's caption.

"This is an exciting time for us and we can’t wait to meet the newest member of our family!" she said.

Pimentel and Yu were married in October last year in a civil wedding at the Coconut Palace.

The senator has 2 sons with his ex-wife, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1998 Jewel Lobaton. They were separated in 2012.
