“I get to spend the best times with her now.

“I wake up early, we go for a walk together, kasi she needs a guide, kasi puro steps.

“So just recently, just two days ago, she was walking with two dumbbells, so okay na siya, mas lumalakas na, and she always says mas nakakaikot na siya nang mas marami ngayon. And she’s much stronger,” sey ni Piolo.

“I get to see her every day, which is a bonus. I get to talk with her.

“I get to see her before I sleep. First thing I see when I wake up is her, by the veranda. Naghihintay na, lalakad na kami.

“All these things that we take for granted,” diin pa ni Piolo.

“For the first time, since I’m kind of away in the province, I’m in Batangas, I don’t have a way to personally attend to all the outreach projects that we’re putting up.

“So what I did for this season, I just donated to different foundations, to different programs.

“I just tap them to deliver whatever donations.

“I’m staying alive. The most important thing is I’m staying home, I’m staying within the premises of the property.

“As resilient as we are as Filipinos, or even as human beings, we’ll always adapt to something.

“We are creative enough, we are creative beings to be able to adjust to something new, something that we’ve never done before.

“I guess we will be able to adapt to it easily. Because that’s our wiring. We are challenged by the things we haven’t done before, we haven’t invented or accomplished.

“So I think with all the precautions, it will be good for humanity to be able to have this experience. At the back of their heads, to prevent it from happening again, so we are more cautious, we are more aware.

“We’ll get by, there’s no doubt about it,” pagtapos pa ni Piolo. (Ruel Mendoza)
