Sison itsapwera sa binubuhay na peace talk

PABOR ang ilang senador sa isinusulong ng administrasyon na bagong istratehiya sa usapang pangkapaya­paan sa mga rebeldeng grupo.

Ayon kay Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III, suportado niya ang localized peacetalk dahil mas malaki ang tsansa na magtagumpay ito.

“I will support and concur with localized peace talks. This idea is closer to the ground therefore more possibility of success. Talking with the higher ups have not bore fruit. It seems they are not really listened to by their people in the local level,” saad ni Sotto.

Nilinaw naman ni Senador Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson na hindi kinakansela ng Pangulo ang usapang pangkapayapaan at bagkus ay nagpapatupad lamang ng ilang adjustment.

“I would say, it is a more practical and logical strategic shift. ­Having said that, different geographical­ areas have different insurgency situations involving the CPP/NPA in terms of influence, strength and threats,” pahayag ni Lacson.

Maging ang security forces aniya ay nagsasabing iilang mga local political unit na lamang ang nakakaramdam ng banta at presensya ng mga NPA armed regular kaya’t wala nang saysay na makipag-usap sa national level.
