Umani ng masigabong palakpakan ang pop superstar na si Taylor Swift nang tanggapin niya ang parangal mula sa iHeartRadio Music Award na Tour of the Year para sa kanyang record-breaking na Reputation Stadium Tour na nag-gross ng $266 million, making it the highest-grossing tour by any artist in the US.
Naging emotional si Taylor sa pagtanggap ng parangal dahil sa hindi pa man daw nagsisimula ang tour niya ay may mga nagsasabi na magiging flop daw ito at hindi na raw siya makakapag-tour ulit.
Kaya naman nagbigay ng isang empowering speech si Taylor para sa mga hater na mali ang hula nila, at ang pasasalamat niya sa kanyang fans na Swifties sa kanilang never-ending support.
“Hey! So I think one of the most wonderful things about the way that this whole tour turned out is that for like the entire six months leading up to the first show of this tour, every headline that I read about the tour was, ‘This is going to be a massive failure. This is going to be a flop tour.’
“And you know, it really did wonders for my self-esteem. It was really great to hear people saying that I was going to be playing to nearly empty stadiums. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned a lot. And one of the things that I’ve learned is life is really unpredictable and people can make forecasts, and they can make predictions, but those predictions and forecasts may not come true if there’s an unforeseeable factor involved. And that unforeseeable factor in this case was my fans.
Bukod sa Tour of the Year, napanalunan din ni Taylor ang Music Video of the Year for “Delicate.”
