Volvo Philippines hailed Joey Concepcion as the Ironmark Awardee in the recently-concluded People of the Year Awards.
The local authorized distributor and dealer of Volvo cars in the Philippines gives due recognition to his achievements in the field of business and entrepreneurship.
Concepcion was hailed as such for his accomplishments as the president and chief executive officer of RFM Corporation and other top businesses in the country and has forged on to other commendable pursuits in the socio-civic sphere.
In Volvo PH’s statement, Concepcion’s “vision of an enterprising and progressive Philippines with empowered and optimistic Filipinos has led him to found Go Negosyo.”
“Along with like-minded individuals, it has come from an advocacy to a full-blown movement that has helped change the mindset and attitude of Filipinos regarding business and entrepreneurship,” it added.
As the Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship, the newly-minted POY awardee sits in a unique position where he strives to bridge the gap between the government and the public sector.
“His aim is to achieve the common goal of inclusive prosperity by working together to produce advantageous outcomes,” the Volvo distributor in the country noted.
The Volvo Ironmark Award is only given to those whose contributions spell a difference in the industry and the society as a whole.
Volvo PH has given the Ironmark Award since 2012 to outstanding individuals in various fields, including Manny Pacquiao, Dr. Vicky Belo, Ces Drilon, and Bea Alonzo.
“We continue to applaud our Ironmark Awardees as they continue their efforts to better society. For Volvo, we stand firm with our commitment to produce cars with people in mind–including the smart and stylish Volvo XC40 and soon, a class-leading plug-in hybrid model. Together, we roll on to a future where cars help make life more comfortable and less complicated,” Christopher Yu, Marketing Head for Volvo Philippines, was quoted as saying.
