Warner Bros. Chairman, CEO Kevin Tsujihara Resigns Amid Sex Scandal

5 years ago 0 Comments

Warner Bros. announced on Monday that company chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara will leave the company amid allegations that Tsujihara used his position to secure roles and auditions for actress Charlotte Kirk, with whom he had been in a sexual relationship with.

WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey said in a statement that Tsujihara's "mistakes" are "inconsistent with the company's leadership expectations."

WarnerMedia, the new content company created after AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner last June, announced a reorganization of its divisions earlier this month that will bring many of its subsidiaries and brands — including Otter Media (Ellation, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, VRV), Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Boomerang — into a single "Global Kids & Young Adults" unit.

Tsujihara would have had oversight of all WarnerMedia-licensed consumer products.
