If there are a few motorcycle models that dominates the Philippine roads today, one of it probably is a Yamaha Mio.

The Yamaha Mio lineup consists of four models: The Yamaha Mio Sporty which starts at Php 67,900, the Yamaha Mio i 125/S that is priced at Php 71,900, the Mio Soul which is priced at Php 79,900, and the top-of-the-line Mio Aerox, which starts at Php 102,900.

Recently, Yamaha Motor Philippines decided to add another Mio into the mix. The Mio Gravis sits between the Mio Soul i 125 and the Mio Aerox in terms of pricing. The Mio Gravis is said to have a starting price of Php 85,900.

The Mio Gravis is powered by a 125cc four stroke, air-cooled, single cylinder engine, with both electric and manual start functions. It has a new Smart Motor Generator that provides a more muted engine and a smoother operation.

The Mio Gravis is fitted with a single wide LED headlamp with integrated position lights and a fully digital speedometer. Also equipped are 12-inch wheels with wide tubeless tires, mounted to a telescopic fork in front and a single side shock and swing arm.

Even though the Mio Gravis isn’t built for off roading, the wide rubber ensures better traction and stability, keeping you safe and stable on rough roads.

Tucked under the seat, the Mio Gravis has a 25-liter storage space where you can store most of your stuff. There are open shelves in the front where you can store some smaller, non important things for easy access.

There’s also a 12V power socket to charge your devices with ease. The fuel cap and storage compartment can be accessed by buttons just beside the ignition switch so you no longer have to take out your key. These features certainly give the Mio Gravis a sense of simple luxury.

The Yamaha Mio Gravis is offered in three different color options: (1) Matte Black, (2) Matte Green, and (3) Matte Red. You can get your Gravis at all Yamaha 3S dealerships starting at Php 85,900.
