MANILA – The lowest in a three-step rainfall warning system was raised in Metro Manila and nearby provinces at 8 a.m. Monday, weather bureau PAGASA said.
The yellow rainfall warning was hoisted over Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Zambales, Bataan, and Bulacan, where heavy rains are expected in the next 3 hours.
Light to moderate rains are expected over Batangas, Quezon and Laguna.
PAGASA earlier said tropical depression Egay continues to enhance the southwest monsoon which will dampen large swathes of Luzon and some parts of Visayas.
It advised the public and local disaster offices to monitor the weather condition.
